How do I use the CMS to uninstall programs?

You can use the CMS to uninstall programs that you do not want on the client machines.

In CMS, go under Management Settings -> Uninstall. In the right pane, right-click and choose Import.

It will give a list of machines on the network. Choose a machine you know has the software you want to remove.

It will then take you back to the Uninstall pane. Right-click again and choose Add. Choose the software to be removed and click OK. It should then list it in the Uninstall section.

It will then give a list of all the software on the machine. Choose the software to be removed and click OK.

It should then list it in the Uninstall section.

In order for it to be removed silently (so the user doesn't have to click Next through it), we'll need to modify the uninstall string it uses. This is different for every software package and every version. Go into regedit and go under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall. Right-click on the Uninstall folder and choose Export. Save it to a file and email that over to us at support@centralcommand.com We'll make the modifications necessary and send it back to be imported back onto the server.

CMS will first uninstall the chosen program before installing Vexira on the client computer.
