Have Vexira notify you when it finds a virus

By default, Vexira will pop up a notification on the screen letting the user know it's found a virus. However, in larger networks you may want Vexira to notify you directly when it finds a virus on any computer. Vexira has a Central Alert component used to send an email notification when it finds a virus, as well as other types of logged actions taken. You can choose the types of log entries which should be mailed by the central alert. These are selected from the list of message types. The following messages can be selected:

- Virus found
- Suspicious file
- Configuration change
- Exception fault
- Warning
- Receipt
- Message
- Error
- Critical error

You can get to these settings from within CMS by going to the group you have the machines in. Go to (Name of your Group) -> Config Template -> Operational Settings -> Log -> Central Alert.

You can Add, Modify, Clone and Delete a rule in the right pane.

If you're going to Add a rule or notification, you can configure it to the specifications you want.

You may also want to check the Mailer Settings under the group's Config Template -> Operational Settings -> General Settings. Make sure your email server is set. The user name and e-mail address settings here are where the email will look like it's coming from. You can set 'Vexira Antivirus' and 'vexira@yourdomain.com' here, or something similar.
