By default, Vexira will pop up a notification on the screen letting the user know it's found a virus. However, in larger networks you may want Vexira to notify you directly when it finds a virus on any computer.
Vexira has a Central Alert component used to send an email when it finds a virus, as well as other types of logged actions taken. You can choose the types of log entries which should be mailed by the central alert. These are selected from the list of message types.
The following messages can be selected:- Virus found- Suspicious file- Configuration change- Exception fault- Warning- Receipt- Message- Error- Critical errorYou can get to these settings from within Vexira by going to Administration -> Central Alert. Any options checked means that the central alert sends the detailed log entry to the assigned email address, entered at the bottom.
You may also want to check the Mailer Settings on the left. Make sure your email server is set. The user name and e-mail address settings here are where the email will look like it's coming from. You can set 'Vexira Antivirus' and 'vexira@yourdomain.com' here, or something similar.
