I get the error 'Unable to download descriptor files'

There are a few things to try to correct this issue. Try each of the following and have it try to Update again after each one:

1. Clear our the 'C:\Program Files\Vexira Antivirus\Temp' folder. Sometimes corrupt or half-downloaded files can throw off the updater.

2. Go into Vexira and go to the 'Updater' section. On the right, uncheck 'HTTP' as an allowed update source, and check 'FTP'. Then below that there are two update tasks defined. Click on one of these to highlight it, then click on 'Modify' at the bottom. You can just click 'Next' through all the screens, and make sure it says 'FTP' as the update source. When finished, do the same thing for the other task. Sometimes FTP can be a more stable connection than HTTP.

3. Go into Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel, highlight the entry for Vexira and go to 'Change/Remove' and choose the 'Repair' option.If you're still having issues, contact support via 'Submit a ticket'. Let them know what issue you're having and what steps you've taken so far.
