It is also possible to manually update Vexira virus definition files using a login script. To do this, download and extract the latest virus definition of Vexira through this link: http://upd.vexira.com/pub12/vexira/zips/vdb.zip
Share the extracted files' folder to the rest of the network. Edit vdb10.set lines using Notepad to reflect the correct shared folder.
a. [MAIN] DESCFILE - sample "\\server2008\VDB\SETUPDAT\vb.ini"
b. [SOURCE] PATH - sample "\\server2008\VDB"
For the script, copy vdb10.set and update.bat to the machine that you want updated and run update.bat to update the client machine.
To keep the database updated, you will then create another script on your server that mirrors the daily database releases from our update servers going to your shared folder.
