How to delete a group from CMS

A group can be deleted from the CMS Group field through the registry. The steps below show you how to delete a group named “Test Group”. 

Note: You should only delete groups that are empty



  • First, exit the Vexira Antivirus Console.
  • Go to Start>Run, type regedit in the run dialog box and press OK.
  • In the Registry Editor, expand [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Central Command\CMS\Components\InstallMan\Templates].
  • Right-click on the unwanted group and select Delete.



When done, close the Registry Editor. The group has been deleted.
