CMS fails to update itself and the critical error
Failed to launch updater application for "Updater task: Program Update" appears on the CMS log.
The error might be caused by an incorrect syntax, a wrong domain or workgroup name, or a wrong password.

To correct the error, open the CMS console and right-click Common>General settings and/or Central Management Server (version)>General Settings.

On the right-pane, right-click on the Windows user or Windows password field and choose Modify.
- Enter the credentials using the following syntax.
DOMAINNAME\username
WORKGROUPNAME\username
