This is the welcome screen of the CMS installation. Click ‘Next’.





On the license agreement screen, kindly read over and click ‘I Agree’.






Click ‘Next’ to continue.






This is the default installation directory. You may choose a different folder for the installation.





The mode CMS runs in depends on if you have Win98/ME machines on your network. If your network is strictly 2K/XP/Win7 workstations, choose 'Native' mode. If you are going to be administering 98/ME machines, choose 'Mixed'. You will then need to install the Remote Access Client on each 98/ME machines, so that CMS is able to communicate with them.


If you are not running a Windows domain and do not wish to use CMS then you will need to use install scripts.

Allow automatic assignment of new machines if you ONLY have workstations and will have one setting for all clients.
Not recommended if there are other Servers in the network.






This screen enables you to select the products that will be managed by CMS. Select all applicable products and click ‘Next’.






Default setting is recommended.







HTTP is the default setting but you may choose FTP, server share or other ways for CMS to update.






Specify proxy settings if you use a proxy server.






Enter the Registration details provided by your account manager. If this information is not yet available during the installation, choose ‘Activation or registration later’. You can enter the registration details later through the application.






Take note of the correct syntax when entering domain credentials.
For workgroups, replace the domain name with the workgroup name and use a user with administrative privileges.







This option allows you to create a shortcut to your desktop.





Click ‘Install’ to start the installation.

Click ‘Next’ to go to the next screen.





Click ‘Finish’ to end the installation.
